These pieces are simply meant to be for fun. Perhaps an encore piece, a little challenge to lighten things up mid-term, or whatever you like. The inspiration for these pieces came from playing Pop goes the Weasel as a waltz on the piano, and at rather solemn functions. I could see people around the room scratching their heads and thinking that they'd hear the music before but couldn't think where. It makes a delightful waltz, and if played with a straight enough face, it is enjoyed by all and suspected by few! The idea for a tango came later, and as a slight challenge.
Roughly grade 3 standard. More applicable to community orchestra or senior high school.

In performance, exaggeration is the key. Try to get your orchestra right into the spirit of the waltz and the tango genre and playing with gusto. A dramatic pause or two won't go astray. The pieces can be played separately or together, and approximate timings are 2'20" and 2'06".
